SUPPORT FIRKIN CRANE

Firkin Crane is the home of dance in Cork, a place for dance artists, dance enthusiasts and dance audiences. With our specialist dance facilities, we provide support and resources for training in dance, and the production and performance of revised and new dance work.

We made the difficult decision on 13th March to close our doors for a time to ensure the safety of our dance artists, audiences, enthusiasts and staff. Like so many in the dance and theatre sector this has left us in very challenging circumstances.

We were looking forward to some great events at Firkin Crane, ranging from dance performances, professional workshops and upcoming residencies. We have done our best to look after our audiences, cancelled shows are being fully refunded, and any refund requests are being honoured for our postponed shows. Classes, workshops and dance training of every kind will resume as soon as we can open to the public again.

While we are keeping our doors firmly shut during the Covid-19 pandemic, we are still working behind the scenes, even if it is from the safety of our own home, we are looking to the future and how we can best support you when we are able to fling our doors open and welcome you back into Firkin Crane. In the meantime, a large amount of our revenue comes from performances and other events which are now not happening. You can support Firkin Crane and by default the practice of dance and in particular professional dance artists to sustain their practice by clicking and making a donation.
