Lisa Cliffe

Lisa Cliffe

You are invited to Lisa Cliffe’s February sessions in the Mirror Room at the Firkin Crane.

Take time to:
Awaken the senses;
Stroke the buds of curiosity through movement, writing and drawing;
Contribute to a connective field of listening and sharing.

The sessions will offer an experience of Lisa’s practice methods.

Lisa Cliffe is living and loving life in Cork city. She performed ‘Unfolding’ part 3, her most recent solo work, at Butter Nights #1 at the Firkin Crane in November ’18. In 2017 she was a recipient of a Cork City Arts Office Individual Bursary Award and in 2018 she received an Arts Council Bursary Award (YPCE). Lisa’s practice is strongly informed by somatic principles and embodiment practices, particularly through her work with Joan Davis. Lisa is currently examining how these principles might be adapted and applied to creating dance work in educational contexts. A former primary school teacher, she holds an MA in Contemporary Dance Performance from the World Irish Academy of Music and Dance at the University of Limerick.
