November Monthly (Online) Forum

Friday 6th November 12.30 – 2.30pm

For all Dance professionals and Dance and Movement Artists, as well as Theatre Makers, and Community Members interested in the Venue. On the first Friday of each month The Board and Executive of Firkin Crane invite you to a Board facilitated meeting to look at proposed sectoral supports and community engagements, with a focus this month on PR and Marketing with Eimear O’Brien and Conall O’Riain.

1.00pm: PR Eimear O’Brien/ Lunasa PR

Run by Eimear O’Brien, Lunasa PR is a Public Relations Consultancy which has widespread experience in managing and creating innovative marketing and public relations campaigns and generating international, national and local coverage for festivals and cultural events. Eimear O’Brien has particular expertise in the promotion of festivals and large-scale events, through focused media and marketing campaigns. Eimear has a First-Class Honours Masters in Public Relations, a First-Class Honours High Diploma in Business and a First-Class Honours BSc in Nutritional Science. Lunasa PR has extensive experience in creating innovative and successful Publicity Campaigns especially in these uncertain times due to COVID 19. Since March 2020, the company has project managed and created effective online and media campaigns for a wide range of festivals and events including Cruinniú na nÓg and Cork Heritage Open Day. For the past four years Lunasa PR has managed all Publicity for GLOW, a Christmas event which is annually attended by 150,000 people and has been widely featured on all media and online.

1.30pm: Marketing- Conall Ó Riain

With over a decade of experience in arts marketing and creative producing, Conall Ó Riain has worked in a variety of roles including artist development, communications, press, strategic planning, fundraising and sales, in a broad spectrum of arts organisations and venues, including BrokenCrow Theatre Company, Attic Projects / Luke Murphy, Catherine Young Dance, ANU Productions, Conflicted Theatre, Project Arts Centre, Galway International Arts Festival, TULCA Festival of Visual Arts, and most recently Cork Midsummer Festival (2015 – present). From 2016 – 2020 he was the programme producer of Tessellate, an artist development and mentorship initiative of Corcadorca Theatre Company, Cork Midsummer Festival and The Everyman. He holds a Higher Diploma in Arts Policy and Practice (2010) and a Masters in Drama and Theatre Studies (2011) from NUI Galway.
