Tax and Finance with Peter Daly
An online Workshop for Dance Artists hosted by Firkin Crane

We are delighted to announce an online Tax and Finance workshop for practicing professional dance artists on Thursday 22nd October at 10am. Practicing dance artist(s), for the purpose of this workshop, are defined as, ‘an individual, with dance training, who makes their career in dance’. This workshop is FREE to 12 dance artists, early booking is advised.
Accountant and writer/performer, Peter Daly, will take you through the main things you need to know in relation to Revenue and Finance over a 3 hour Zoom session. This will be an interactive workshop with participants encouraged to ask questions during the course of the workshop, course notes from the workshop will also be provided.
Topics for the workshop include:
- Registration with Revenue
- Tax Returns
- PAYE & self-employed at the same time
- Preliminary tax
- Record keeping
- Tax deductible expenses
- Artists exemption
- & Anything else you want to know
Peter is a Chartered Accountant with 20 years post qualification experience. He trained with PricewaterhouseCoopers and worked in various private and publicly quoted companies in the years since qualifying.
Peter set up his own accountancy practice, Peter Daly, Chartered Accountants in early 2015. The practice caters predominantly for individuals – many of whom work in the Arts, and small businesses, including some Arts organisations.
Alongside his accountancy work Peter works as a writer and actor. He has worked with most of the theatre companies in Ireland including The Abbey, The Gate, Rough Magic, Druid, Fishamble and many others.
