With a hundred years behind us we are caught with the heroes and demons of our past and, in the light of the economic collapse, the fraught uncertainty of our future. Triumph and Trauma is at once a poetic dedication to a turning point in the nation’s history, and a rigorous examination of what Irish identity, politics and nationalism means today.

With a striking visual landscape and an exceptional international cast, On Triumph and Trauma takes the audience through a unique theatrical experience of theatre, dance and film to discover the quiet humanity behind our nation’s mythic origin.

Created and directed by the award-winning choreographer, Luke Murphy, this is Attic Projects’ first production as Firkin Crane’s Company in Residence. It is performed by Eric Jackson Bradley, Zach McNally, Luke Murphy and Lily Ockwell.
