April 2021 Monthly (online) Forum

Our next Monthly (online) Forum will take place on Friday 2nd April 2021 from 12.30pm – 2.30pm

The Board and Executive of Firkin Crane invite you to attend a Board facilitated monthly forum for professional dance artists, dance and movement artists, theatre makers, local community members and all who are interested in Firkin Crane. These meetings are a chance for us to let you know how we’re getting on, what supports are available and for us to hear what you have to say.

This month sees the introduction of a new section Moments of Wisdom, the pilot programme for a new Firkin Crane initiative; in line with our mission to advance dance as an artform in the holistic support of the dance community. In this instance we engage an established artist or dance industry professional in a structured conversation, programmed for 30 minutes of our regular monthly forums. The idea is to provide new or emerging artists with the opportunity to connect with someone, who has already traversed the difficulties of becoming established as an expert in their field. Each guest agenda, and the precise time of their appearance, is published closer to the event date.

Each monthly forum will see a new guest speaker share their Moments of Wisdom. Here is the schedule for 2021:

  • Friday 2nd April: Maria Nilsson Waller and Stace Gill
  • Friday 7th May: Dr Breandán de Gallaí
  • Friday 4th June: Town Hall Meeting
  • Friday 2nd July: Catherine Young
