It is fundamental to a dance artist to have an opportunity to present their work to an audience.

The Firkin Crane aims:
➢ to present the work of professional and emerging as well as local, national and international dance artists
➢ to provide for and enhance the engagement between dance and the general public
➢ to provide a venue for community dance

  • A Chance To Dance - Tickets: € 3 per student The Firkin Crane are inviting Schools, Groups and Clubs to take part in an exciting Dance Programme on a weekly or monthly basis.
  • Back to School 12 Mar 2010 - 14 Mar 2010 Tickets: € 16 or 4 for €60 featuring the young stars from the various Performers Academy Studios across Cork
  • BLANK CANVAS 2010 Sharing 12 Mar 2010 - Tickets: € suggested donation €5 BLANK CANVAS sharing
  • Donal Ring and his Band 17 Mar 2010 - Tickets: € 18 with Terry McCarthy and Donal Ring Jnr
  • Hope for Haiti 19 Mar 2010 - Tickets: € Cork musicians and dancers come together for a novel fundraising event - an evening of song and dance.

  • Open Niche 01 Apr 2010 - Tickets: € 12/8 Choreographer Fearghus Ó Conchúir presents OPEN NICHE, made possible by the support all those optimists who donated €100, and, in association with the Firkin Crane's Chance to Dance programme, is offering young people in Cork the chance to be part of his contemporary dance performance.
  • Easter Ballet Intensive School 05 Apr 2010 - 09 Apr 2010 Tickets: € Unique opportunity for youth dancers from Ireland to study with international stars of the ballet world
  • Aloys Fleischmann - Music for The Ballet 26 Apr 2010 - Tickets: € Cork City Ballet is proud to be involved in the centenary celebrations of Aloys Fleischmann, and help mark his magnificent contribution to ballet in Ireland
