The Firkin Crane

Classes and Workshops

Within its four dance studios, the Firkin Crane provides space for a wide variety of dance classes and workshops in a range of styles and levels of expertise, open to everyone from the professional dancer to the novice. They vary from regular, weekly classes to specialist dance workshops by visiting artists. Open events, often free, offer an opportunity for people to try out new forms of movement and develop a wider interest in dance as an art form.

With some of the country’s best dance teachers, the Firkin Crane provides a wide programme of dance, performance and theatre classes for all ages, from three-year-olds toddling their first steps, to teenagers preparing for a school or youth club performance or for a dance career as a performer or dance teacher.

Many of the dance schools who use our wonderful dance studios present regular shows and concerts, which demonstrate the skills and talents of their dance students to an enthusiastic audience. The young performers become part of the cast and crew for pantos, concerts, dance demonstrations and dance films.
