The Firkin Crane

BLANK CANVAS 2010 Sharing

03 Dec 2010 -
1.00 pm
Tickets: €suggested donation €5 The Firkin Crane continues to go from strength to strength as a dedicated venue and resource for dance development.

BLANK CANVAS, a Professional Dance Residency Programme, gives artists freedom to allow their creative ideas to blossom with every possible support from the Firkin Crane. For 2010 we received a total of 52 applications from Irish, European and Internationally based artists, of whom 11 dance artists and their collaborators were selected by a panel of dance experts.

The 11 residencies are divided into 5 Phases. At the end of each Phase, the Firkin Crane hosts an exciting sharing of work-in-progress, presented by some or all of the currently resident artists.

The next lunchtime sharing will take place on Friday 3 December 2010 and will feature the work of Fearghus Ó Conchúir (Ireland) and of Kyle Abraham (USA) .

Light refreshments will be served from 12.30 - the event should last an hour

The Firkin Crane would like to acknowledge the Arts Council of Ireland for its continuous support of the programme.
