Aerial Dance Workshop

Tickets: €80 The amazing Fred Deb will travel to Ireland for the first time to work with Fidget Feet. This workshop is open for people with some aerial experience where she will teach fabric and workshop on aerial dance with Fidget Feet assisting her.

Fred Deb is a French aerialist who performs aerial fabric/silks and hoop. She studied at the French National Circus Arts Centre of Châlons en champagne and graduated in 1992. She was one of first artists to investigate these aerial disciplines.

A leading member of the French ‘Nouveau Cirque' movement, she has toured for several years with the French aerial arts company: LES ARTS SAUTS. She teaches aerial fabric/silks workshops regularly in France, USA and Japan. She has worked with a great variety of students, from professional to beginners and from adults to children. http://www.drapes-aeriens.com

The one-day course cost €80. Fidget feet have received a Commission Award from Irish Arts Council and have commissioned Fred to create a new aerial piece on fabric working with three Fidget Feet dancers. They will be resident at the Firkin Crane in Cork from Tues 25th Nov to Tues 2nd Dec 2008, with a free informal sharing to which all are invited on Tues 2nd of December at 7pm. Fidget Feet will finish the creation of this piece in 2009 in France and Ireland.
