Drama

various Drama - an introduction
This ten week course takes place one evening a week and offers participants a practical opportunity to explore the craft of acting. The course is open to everyone and is also designed for those who wish to expand their general communication skills.

08.00 - 10.00 pm
TERM 1: Weds 5th Oct - Weds 7th Dec
TERM 2: Weds 11th Jan - Weds 14th March
TERM 3: Weds 18th April - Weds 20th June


The Adult Theatre Company
Over the course of three terms, the group will work with a professional theatre practitioner on a chosen text or will devise a play. The result will be performed in a Cork theatre or a site-specific venue.
The Company is designed for those advanced students who would like to further explore their potential in a concentrated rehearsal atmosphere. Students will take charge of fundraising, advertising and promoting the play, thereby learning the essentials of independent theatre work.

TERM 3: Friday 13th April - Friday 15th June

Stella Majewski, Artistic Director of the Gaiety School of Acting, Cork, was trained at the acclaimed Institute for Acting in Bochum, Germany and has worked as an actor, director and teacher across Europe. Since arriving in Ireland she has specialised in theatre directing, completing a Masters in UCD.
