The Firkin Crane

Future Development

Over the recent years the Firkin Crane, in one form or another, has engaged with and found ways to support and develop dance in the city, county and surrounding areas. On a daily basis, numerous dancers and performance groups make use of the various activities and resources. In past few years, hundreds of dance artists have come to our building and this continues with an ever increasing, varied pool of dance practitioners utilising our resources.

Fundamental to the Firkin Crane is the support of its dance artists, funders and peers. We have consulted with, and incorporated the comments and suggestions from, the Arts Council and its Dance Advisor as well as a wide range of professionals within the dance community. Our four key programme elements are: Performance, Classes & Workshops, Residencies and Professional Development, and we are building links to useful sources and a comprehensive online library of performances from our database of archive material.

If you wish to comment or make suggestions, please respond via the contact page.
